How much commission does the affiliate program pay?
Shared hosting and VPS plans pay 10% recurring commission on every payment your referral makes — not just the first. Managed VPS pays 8% recurring. Dedicated servers pay a fixed $15 one-time per sale, and streaming servers pay $25 one-time. There is no cap on total earnings.
Is the commission recurring or one-time?
Shared hosting and VPS commissions are fully recurring. Every time your referred customer renews their plan — monthly or annually — you earn your percentage. Dedicated server and streaming server commissions are one-time fixed payouts per sale, since these are high-value products with lower margins.
How long does the affiliate cookie last?
The tracking cookie lasts 90 days from the first click. If someone visits TheOnionHost via your link and then purchases any time within 90 days, you earn the full commission on that sale.
What is the minimum payout and how do I withdraw?
The minimum balance to request a withdrawal is $50. Payment methods include Bitcoin, Monero, PayPal, and bank transfer. There is a 30-day commission delay after each sale before funds become available, to account for the refund window.
Do I need a website to join?
No. There is no approval process and no minimum traffic requirement. Any registered client can activate affiliate status and start sharing their link immediately — via forums, social media, YouTube, or any other channel.
Can I use my own affiliate link to purchase?
No. Self-referrals are not eligible for commission. The WHMCS affiliate system automatically detects and ignores purchases made by the affiliate account itself.
What happens if my referred customer upgrades or cancels?
If your referred customer upgrades to a higher plan, your future recurring commissions will automatically adjust to reflect the new price. If they cancel, recurring commissions stop from that point. Commissions already paid are not reversed on cancellation — only if a full refund is processed within the refund window.
Where is the affiliate dashboard?
Log in to your client area at billing.theonionhost.com, then click "Affiliates" in the main menu. From there you can view your referral link, track clicks and conversions, see pending and paid commissions, and submit withdrawal requests.
