Shared Hosting ✓ 7-Day Guarantee
TheOnionHost offers a 7-day money-back guarantee on all shared hosting packages, subject to the following conditions:
- Eligible payment methods: Debit/credit card or PayPal only.
- The 7-day window begins at the time of order placement.
- Applies to new orders only — not to renewals or plan upgrades.
- Account must not be in violation of our AUP or Terms of Service.
Added funds (manual or automatic top-ups) are non-refundable and can only be used for future purchases within TheOnionHost.
VPS Hosting ✓ 7-Day Guarantee
TheOnionHost offers a 7-day money-back guarantee on all VPS hosting packages, subject to the following conditions:
- Eligible payment methods: Debit/credit card or PayPal only.
- Refunds exclude any third-party licensing fees such as cPanel, Softaculous, LiteSpeed, or other licensed software purchased alongside the VPS.
- Prepaid or discounted VPS packages are non-refundable after the 7-day window, regardless of payment method.
Dedicated Servers ✗ Non-Refundable
Due to the nature of dedicated server provisioning, TheOnionHost does not offer refunds or credits on dedicated servers under any circumstances, including:
- Dissatisfaction or change of mind
- Early cancellation before the end of the billing term
- Compliance-related issues or AUP enforcement actions
- Prepaid invoices, discounted long-term payments, or promotional deals
Domain Registrations ✗ Non-Refundable
All domain registrations, transfers, and renewals are strictly non-refundable, in line with ICANN policies and registrar agreements. This applies to all TLDs without exception.
It is the client's responsibility to verify domain spelling and availability before placing any domain-related order. We cannot transfer or reassign domains after registration.
Cryptocurrency Payments ⚠ Account Credit Only
Due to the inherent nature of cryptocurrency transactions, all payments made via cryptocurrency are final, irreversible, and non-refundable to external wallets under any circumstances once applied to an invoice.
In eligible cases (within 7 days for Shared and VPS hosting only), refunds may be provided as TheOnionHost account credit, strictly to the client's account.
- Refunds to cryptocurrency wallets are never processed.
- Account credit can be used for any future service within TheOnionHost.
- Credit requests must be submitted via support ticket within the 7-day window.
General Billing Terms
All advance payments, prepaid funds, or long-term payments for any service type are subject to the non-refundable clauses defined for each service above.
In the event TheOnionHost terminates your service due to a breach of our AUP or Terms of Service, no refunds will be granted for the unused term, regardless of payment method or remaining service period.
Chargebacks initiated without first contacting our support team will result in immediate account suspension and may result in permanent ban from our services.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund within the eligible window:
- Log in to your Client Area
- Submit a support ticket via billing.theonionhost.com/submitticket.php
- Include your order ID, service type, and reason for refund
- Our team will respond within 24 hours and process eligible refunds within 5–7 business days
Refunds are processed to the original payment method only (card refund → same card; PayPal → same PayPal account).
Policy Updates
TheOnionHost reserves the right to revise this policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted publicly and will immediately become part of our Terms of Service. It is the client's responsibility to review our policies periodically.
